Project Image and Video Indexing Using DC Coefficient This is my Master's degree Thesis. DC Coefficient is the first of 64 coefficients when applied DCT to images. It has capability to represent image content roughly. By using this advantage, we can apply them for indexing image and video databases. It consist of full functional program from reading JPEG images, image database creation and management, image comparison parts, and GUI using Motif. It was written with C/C++ using Motif and run under Linux. Data Encryption Using DES (Data Encryption Standard) This is my Bachelor's degree project about applying DES algorithm to encrpyt files for security concerns. However, the main interest is for applying to image files. This project was written with C under DOS and using some ad- vanced DOS services such as changing character font and changing interrupt service routines. Machine Control via PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) The program provides user interface for monitoring and changing machine parameters. This project was exclusively done via Siemens's PLCs. Object Modeling Techniques Comparison between ROOM (Real time Object-Orient Modeling) and OMT (Object Modeling Technique) OMT is suitable for most application but real-time, ROOM is designed especially for real-time application. However, OMT has been enhanced to handle real-time application as well.
