On February 24, 1996, Thai Link held the Reverse Brain Drain activity,
"Boston Job Fair" in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The event was higly
successful. Twelve companies in hi-tech, business and education
participated in this event. Approximately 570 resumes were received and
400 professional and students attended the fair. There are about 33% of
professionals who have working experiences from 1-30 years. We
accomplished our task in supporting the Reverse Brain Drain project of
Thailand, thank to supports of participating companies, Thai government,
Thai community and students. Although the job fair is over, the resumes
are still continuously pouring in.
Due to the overwhelming success and the positive
feedback from Thais abroad and organizations regarding the Reverse Brain
Drain Project, Thai Link is pleased to extend our activities to Europe.
We would like to encourage you to participate in
expanding the linkage among Thais abroad and organizations in Thailand.
Our goal is to bring Thais back home. This event is a place
to provide Thai candidates suitable to organization's human
resource needs and to provide students and professionals with
career opportunities in Thailand. If

Benefits to Your Organization
Thai Link is developing a Multimedia CD-ROM Reverse Brain Drain
promotional media which will promote the highlights of each company, success
stories, Women in Thai Workplace and Schooling in Thailand.
Thai Link will present each company profile on the World-Wide-Web (WWW)
all year round and the Multimedia application during the event.
Interested parties can access the company profiles on the WWW,
Multimedia CD-ROM, by hard copy or VCR during the event.
Each company profile will be presented to the participants at the
event for 7-10 minutes by the company representative or Thai Link
representative. A VCR is also provided for continuous playing of
company profiles. You will have direct contact with Thai professionals
and students from famous colleges and universities.
To provide a linkage of all participants, and to create mutual
understanding between Thais living abroad and organization in Thailand, the
panel discussion is offered during luch hour. During this panel, you will
also have an extra time to review resumes for interviews.
The organizer will run a workshop to prepare participants for job
interviews and resume writing. This activity will help both
participants and companies to work together more effectively. Resume
writing and interview tip services will also be provided during
the event.
The participating companies will receive a resume booklet/CD-ROM grouped
by skill/area of specialty in alphabetical order by first name
prior the event. The statistical summary of participants will also
be included.
Thai Link will follow up to determine your company's needs and
satisfaction. We will also provide interview arrangement services.

The deadline for resumes is October 25, 1996. Make sure to submit your

The recruiters will review the resumes and schedule interviews with potential
candidates before or during the jobfair event. If you do not register for the

meet with recruiters and Thai Link staff members who will guide you through
the interview process. Participants will be exposed to many exciting career
opportunities. The panel disussion
will provide you with information about what your homeland has to offer you.
You will hear the success stories from Thais who returned to work in
Thailand. Your input to the panel will help Thailand organizations and Thais
abroad to work together effectively.
