The King of Thailand Birthplace Foundation (KTBF) would like to invite your organization to be part of the celebration of the 60 th coronation anniversary of the King of Thailand, who is the longest reign of any of the present world's monarchs and ONLY monarch born in the United States of America .

King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand was born at Mount Auburn Hospital , Cambridge , Massachusetts , on December 5, 1927. His father, Prince Mahidol was a student at Harvard medical School. His mother, Miss Sangvalya (then) was a student at Simmons College , Boston . They lived in Massachusetts during the year 1916 to 1928. King Bhumibol was crowned to be the King of Thailand on June 9, 1946.

The King of Thailand Birthplace Foundation (KTBF) is a nonprofit corporation and public charity incorporated in 1998 under 501(c) (3) in Massachusetts . KTBF is comprised of Thais, Americans and all men and women from different origins who believe in cultural exchange, community service, and historic preservation.

For the celebration of King Bhumibol's 60 th coronation anniversary, KTBF is proudly present our rich and authentic culture on June 4, 2006, which is to be called “Thailand Day”. The event is to be held at King Bhumibol Square , which is the vicinity of Harvard Square , Cambridge , Massachusetts .

Your products and information presented at Thailand Day will mark Thailand Day a signature event. Thailand Day will present an authentic cultural parade, Thai sports- Takraw, Muay Thai; and children games, Thai classical and folk dances, Thai food and crafts including the favorite products for every one. The Jazz band will perform the Jazz music composed by His Majesty. The Buddhist monks will prey to bless everyone. You will have an opportunity to offer food to the monks and can perform meditation with the monks at their dhutanga tent. If you like Traditional Thai Massage, you should not miss to get a wonderful service from the real Thai massage at this event.

Although this is the first year of Thailand Day, we expect to have a great number of participants from our widely advertisement.
